Thomas Curvey was baptized into the church under the ministry of Bro. John C. Whitley at the 5th Ward church of Christ, Houston, Texas in October, 1970. He served the congregation under Bro. Whitley and Bro. Thomas Foster until 1998. He then placed his membership at the Eastside church of Christ in Austin, Texas, under Bro. George Williams in the summer of 1998. In 2004 upon returning to Houston, he placed his membership at the Highland Heights church of Christ, Houston, Texas under Bro. Robert Harper. Upon the hiring of Bro. Tommy Brooks as the Pulpit Minister at Highland Heights, he renewed his faith and began his work as a preacher in 2007. He has served as the Lead Servant for the Administration Ministry. He has served as the Co-Lead Servant for the Evangelism, Education, Worship and Administration Ministries over the past 16 years. He teaches Bible Classes, and he has been a youth minister under Development. He currently serves as Co-Servant Lead of the Spiritual Soul-winning Ministry.
